STRANGELY FAMILIAR
Originally conceived as a critique of the idealized family album, the series reimagines family portraiture by replacing smiles and white shirts with stockings and frowns to create distance and discomfort. It has since evolved to explore the βstrangersβ within my familyβrelatives who exist in a limbo between familiarity and unfamiliarity, whether distant cousins, awkward uncles, or those only present in photographs.
