MOURNING ROUTINE

Mourning Routine emerged from a desire to regain control over my wellbeing after my father’s death. Abandoning a long-standing dependence on escapism, I began photographing the sky from my apartment window, transforming daily observation into a ritual of remembrance. Working within the self-imposed limitation of a single viewpoint, the series explores the tension between control and release, finding meaning in the changing colours, light, and weather that passed before me each day.
